Nutritionist names dangerous alcoholic cocktails
Russian nutritionist Anna Belousova said that strong alcohol in combination with carbonated drinks is the greatest danger for the body.
She said that carbonated water increases the absorption of alcohol into the blood.
There is also a delayed effect, when the cocktail is drunk easily, and the intoxication comes unexpectedly and turns out to be extremely difficult, the nutritionist noted.
She also pointed out the dangers of beer cocktails, in particular a mixture of beer and vodka.
Here, two factors play a role: the drink is carbonated, and thanks to the beer, especially if it is dark one, vodka is almost not felt, Belousova explained.
The doctor added that the intoxication from such a cocktail is as strong as if a person had drunk half a liter of vodka.
The use of liqueurs in a cocktail allows their sweetness to hide the strength of the drink, she said.
The same is with the addition of syrups and juices to cocktails - they hide not only the strength, but also the quality of alcohol, the nutritionist warned.
Obesity needs to be treated with medications, while diets and dietary restrictions are created for healthy people, a Russian nutritionist, and head of the Weight Correction Clinic Alexei Kovalkov said.
