Russia records 6,719 new COVID cases
Over the past 24 hours, Russian doctors have identified 6,719 cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in 83 subjects of Russia, NEWS.ru reports.
Of these, 2,123 patients (31.6 percent) had no symptoms, according to the report.
Since the start of the pandemic, the country has seen 641,156 people infected with COVID in 85 regions. Over the past 24 hours, 93 citizens have died with COVID-19. The total number of coronavirus victims in the Russian Federation is 9,166 people.
Over the past day, 4,343 patients have recovered from COVID in Russia. In total, the number of recovered in the country has reached 403,430.
For the entire time of the COVID-19 pandemic, 10,147,906 people have contracted the virus globally, and 501,955 of them died. This is while 5,142,425 people have recovered, according to the Johns Hopkins Institute (US). The US leads in terms of the number of COVID cases - 2,548,996.
Brazil ranks second with 1,344,143 cases of COVID-19.
